Who runs the tool
Life Adviser is a trading style of PJG Financial Limited, registered in Scotland, company number SC535782. Its registered office is 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AN. PJG Financial Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 919697 (insurance: introductions only). What the tool receives
The tool receives only what the AI assistant sends when it uses the tool:
- Calculation figures: mortgage balance, other debts, yearly living costs, years of support, funeral costs and existing cover.
- If given, the years left on the mortgage, the youngest child’s age and the support age.
- The tool’s name and technical protocol details, including the protocol version and the assistant’s name and version.
- ChatGPT may also attach hints such as an approximate location, language and anonymous identifiers. The tool ignores them.
The tool never asks for names, contact details, health or smoking information.
What happens to it
- The tool works out the result and sends it back to the assistant.
- Nothing is stored. There is no record of the figures, no account, no cookies and no profile.
- The figures are not used for marketing.
- They are not passed to adviser firms or anyone else.
Hosting
Netlify, Inc., a US company, hosts the website and the tool. It handles each request to deliver the service and keep it secure, as it does for every page of this site. The request usually comes from Anthropic’s or OpenAI’s servers, rather than your own device. Hosting is covered in the main privacy policy.
Your conversation
What you type in Claude or ChatGPT is handled under Anthropic’s or OpenAI’s own terms. Life Adviser does not see your conversation, only what the assistant sends to the tool.
